olunteers and find out more about the plot if you'
 ve not been before.\n \n \n \n Please note: This s

 https://brightonpermaculture.org.uk/meet-the-team-
 fran-pickering/) \n \n \n \n When you register you

  have them)\n \n - Gardening gloves\n \n \n \n Wat
er bottles will be able to be refilled on site if
 necessary.\n \n \n \n Please bring light clothing

\n \n \n Please read this article about the photo
toxic plants we may have on site. (https://bright

cream! Thermal underwear! Sunhats! \n \n Depending
on the weather it can be cold wet and windy or a
boiling hot sun trap!\n \n The plot is not a neat
and tidy garden - it's pretty wild! The ground is
uneven\, there are brambles and nettles in places.
Please check weather forecast and dress according
ly.\n \n \n \n Nearest toilet (compost loo) is sit

 Thursdays.\n \n \n \n If you get lost\, please cal

DESCRIPTION:Saturday 21st November Juicing at Stanmer 9.30am -
2.30pm\n \n \n Join Ben & Nick and help juice fru
it we've either picked or collected around Brighto
n/Sussex. This fruit would have gone to waste but
with your help it will be turned into delicious ju
ices and ciders. Learn hands on about small scale
juice and cider production\, some of which we'll s
 ell on the day to the passing public.\n \n \n \n N
o experience is necessary\, and new volunteers ver
y welcome. Our juicing sessions are fun\, messy an
d fast paced\, as we need to make sure the fruit i
s pressed before it spoils. Please note this is a
very physical activity\, with some heavy lifting (
around 15kg) of crates and stretching\, as top of
 equipment is 1.6m.\n \n \n \n IMPORTANT: Please do
not register to take part if you are ill or have
had any sickness or diarrhoea in the previous 14 d
ays.\n \n \n \n Wasp season in the UK generally st
arts around April and finishes around mid October.
We therefore advise that anyone with an allergy t
o wasp stings does not help out during this period
 .\n \n \n \n Unfortunately\, due to the fast pace
of these sessions and the size and nature of some
of the equipment involved\, this session is not su
itable for under 16’s. We're keen to buy more suit
able equipment to run family-friendly juicing sess
ions - so please contact us with any funding oppor
tunities you think we could apply for.\n \n \n \n
Please register for this task\, so we know who is
coming and only register if you are sure you can c
 ome.\n \n \n \n Your hosts\n \n \n Ben Jasnocha &
 Nick Casey (https://brightonpermaculture.org.uk/ni

receive an email which will give you a contact pho
ne number in case you need to call on the day.\n \
 n \n \n Practical stuff\n \n \n Please bring whate
ver food and drink you need to sustain you for the
day (please note there is a cafe opposite the Fru
it Factory). There are also tea/coffee making faci
lities in the Fruit Factory. Please dress for outd

 c. Please bring work gloves if you have any\, and
also a pair of marigolds if you have some. Hands t
end to get cold washing apples\, so having a pair
of rubber gloves with something underneath if poss

utdoors so dress as weather conditions dictate.\n
\n \n \n There are toilets adjacent to the Fruit F
actory and also toilets at One Garden nearby. Plea
se do not urinate in the Stanmer orchards.\n \n \n
\n Please note that for all the activities all ch
